Unlike other conventional tweeters and electrostatic speakers, the RT2II has an extremely wide sound dispersion in the horizontal plane. At the same time, it has a well controlled sound dispersion in the vertical plane. This helps to avoid disturbing floor and ceiling reflections in a home environment thus enhancing clarity and imaging accuracy.
The RT2II features a larger membrane and radiating area than the RT1, providing higher power handling and a substantially lower cut off frequency. The large membrane is thermally attached to the rectangular cast aluminium face plate providing cooling and dramatically increasing dynamic range. Perfect for 2 or 3-way applications. Recommended second order crossover cut-off frequency - from 1.8kHz.
The Series II version of the classic RT2 offers the same sonic performance as the original, but with updated cosmetic styling. The solid aluminum faceplate includes a bead-blasted finish on the main surface, with beveled brushed-aluminum towards the sides. The result is a visually stunning tweeter that gives a modern look to any project.
